David Omoregie was introduced to athletics by his mother at the age of 14. Representing Pembrokeshire harriers he enjoyed training as a decathlete and produced his best performances in the hurdles event.
Consequently a decision was made to focus on the hurdles. This proved to be a master stroke as David excelled rapidly. Moving to Cardiff Amateur Athletic club with a new coach and a growth spurt. David went on to run the joint second fastest junior indoor 60m hurdle time in History beating Colin Jacksons indoor junior record in the process.
Within 2 years he had represented both Wales and Great Britain. He became European u23 champion, world junior bronze medalist, British indoor silver medalist along with many other awards.
With the start he has made to his fledgling career the future looks bright for this promising athlete.
